X-mini KAI X1 Bluetooth Speaker

This speaker has a 1x 3W 50mm driver in a compact form factor. It has a sturdy feel to it and is ultra-portable, with an all-metal finish. The operation is simple with just two buttons on the side of the speaker, power and mode select. You can also pair many of these together to create a bigger sound. The sound is crisp and clear with zero distortion, even at the high end (which is shockingly disproportionate to the size!) It puts out mid and high tones fantastically, with bass tones lacking slightly due to the thin form factor, it is impressive given how slim it is, but you just know that the driver can give more low tones if it was in a bigger box.

When pairing to certain devices, there is a slight intermittent hissing when no audio is coming through. I think this is a 'transmission hiss' rather than a shoddy connection. If it isn't noticeable when music plays. It is brilliant for voice playback too, and the built-in microphone is also good.
